When you were little did you love just curling up with a blanket on a comfy couch and watching Winnie the Pooh going on adventures with all of his friends? If you answered yes to this question, then you will definitely love the new Disney movie; Christopher Robin.

Christopher Robin is a live-action, fantasy-comedy drama film that is currently playing in theaters. So far it has grossed over $186 million worldwide. The movie was inspired by A. A. Milne and E. H. Shepard’s book called Winnie-the-Pooh. The character Christopher Robin was actually inspired by Milne’s son named Christopher Robin Milne.
This movie follows the main character Christopher Robin as he is grown up. The movie starts off with a scene where a young Christopher Robin is having a farewell party with Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, Owl, and Rabbit in the Hundred-Acre Wood because his parents are sending him to boarding school.
Shortly after Christopher arrives at the boarding school his father dies which causes him to grow up faster and experience the difficulties of real life.
After Christopher enters adulthood he goes to London where he meets an architect named Evelyn who becomes his wife and they have a daughter named Madeline. After Madeline was born, Christopher went to serve in the British Army during WWII.
When he returned from the war, he got a job with the company called Winslow Luggages. The company Christopher works for is hitting hard times and it is his job to find a solution.
This job starts to become his whole life and he starts to drift away from his family, especially his daughter whose only wish is to make him proud of her.
When it gets to the point where it seems like Christopher’s life is spiraling down and he is losing hope, his childhood friend Pooh shows up and helps him restore his hope and his misplaced imagination.
Want to find out how Pooh succeeds in doing that? Watch the movie to find out.
When I went to go see this movie in the theater with my dad I thought that this movie was amazing. I thought the movie did a really good job with making the fictional characters look real and this movie taught me some valuable lessons. One quote that I will never forget from that movie is “Doing nothing often leads to the very best something.”
