As President Donald Trump looks to revise the current tax code, he has big ideas and he plans to set those ideas in motion as soon as possible.
The last tax code was implemented by republican president Ronald Reagan who was the president before Jimmy Carter. He was responsible for revamping the tax code in the 1980s that was implemented previously before him by democratic president Jimmy Carter.
This tax revamping process that is taking place right now is similar to the situation that is occurring with democrat Barack Obama’s term expiring and republican Donald Trump taking office and looking to switch things up.
Back in the ‘80s, Reagan decided to give a facelift to the tax code of that time period. He was able to accomplish a plethora of things for the country: He was able to bring together the Democrats and Republicans in order to come up with a plan that would make most American citizens happy.
In turn, the economy began to flourish, factory employment and productivity rose. The median income for each family rose, and so much more.
President Trump has big dreams and expectations for America and he wants to match if not best the tax revamp of the 1980’s.
President Trump has already made a whole lot of progress in his first nine months in office including such acts as the implementation of tough, harsh job regulations for hard working Americans, and leaving the Trans-Pacific Partnership in the dust.
He has also put into place The Keystone XL and Dakota Access Pipelines projects which are programs that help energy usage increase by decreasing the amount of coal America uses for industrial purposes.
Trump’s progress has also caused the unemployment rate to drop. According to her Labor Department, the unemployment rate has dropped to 4.5%. President Trump has also taken steps to abolish Obamacare once and for all, however efforts have been unsuccessful as the repeal for the death of Obamacare has collapsed or at least been put on hold for now.
He has his sights set on refurbishing the tax code to a simpler one, in a way all Americans can understand. He plans on cutting taxes for hard working middle class families, even going as far as to not tax the first $24,000 on average American middle class family’s income.
Trump wants to restore America’s competitive edge and bring in more jobs and stimulate higher wages for employees as well as bring back trillions of dollars of wealth that is currently parked overseas back to America.
President Trump knows there is still a lot of work that still needs to be done. He knows that even though right now America can celebrate all this recent success and reap from the benefits that together Americans have been able to accomplish, citizens can be proud but still remain aware of the growing problems in America that need to be addressed. Trump knows that together united as one, the people of the United States of America can accomplish anything.
